Architectural Works
The following descriptions are context to why the research was conducted or completed and a brief summery to what it is about. I am excited about this work, so I hope you take the time to read and enjoy it!
Research Paper: "Architectural Forms Challeneged by History in the Huntingdon County Court House"
Research By Simone Bilich
This was a historical research paper, exploring the architectural history of my local court house. As it continues to undergo construction for accessibility improvements, I set out to uncover the complex history of the struggle to construct a longstanding court house. After a history of three different variations of the building, the town debated over making simple repairs or reconstructing a fourth variation. Last year the debates ended with the solution to repair what's damaged. This project was completed as a final history paper for my course "Architecture Since the 1800s."

Analysis: Ithaca College Campus Architectural Analysis
Analysis By: Simone Bilich
This analysis got me to think about the intention behind the layout of public places of my everyday life. The structures we are able to see, as well as the structures we do not see. I also analyzed the functionality behind the walkways for students on the campus compared to the roadways for cars. Although a small assignment, this project for my "Architecture Across Cultures" course, enhanced how I think about the spaces I occupy.

Analysis: Futurism Characteristics in Historic Structures
Analysis By: Simone Bilich
This is a demonstration of various formal design choices of three notable structures, the visual arts building at the University of Iowa, the Monument to the Third International in Russia, and the Suspense House, that embody a futurism design. This was completed as practice in articulating these characteristics in buildings for my "Architecture Across Cultures" course.
